A little sewing

It is still fairly chilly here and over the last month I’ve been slowly making a small stack of merino jumpers.  My kids scored a bunch as they are rapidly growing out of last year’s.

2014 5xmerinosThe merino, bought from one of my favourite local stores, is wonderfully light weight, super soft and perfect for layering.  The stripey one is a cool thicker reversible double knit with spots on one side and stripes on the other.

I finished them last week and they are worn daily – this morning was no exception.  Though gloriously sunny we all donned our jumpers for a trip to the beach.

I love these sweaters (jumpers), I would have worn them and I would wear them today too. Love raglan stripy sleeves! And what a beautiful sky! So nice that you all got out there an made the most of your day!

What a lovely compliment to you to have your daughters really wear and enjoy what you make for them. I have this glorious vision in my head of you and your daughters playing in the beach in your jumpers. Lovely 🙂

    • It is a wonderful feeling, though of course there are things I make that they don’t/won’t wear too. And you know what? We were on the beach wearing our mummy-made jumpers in the sun and sand.

Beautiful! The sweaters and the beach.
We spent time at the beach too again this weekend . Spring sunniness is gorgeous, but not warm…

    • It really isn’t that warm but it is gorgeous. The kids dug in the sand and barrelled around and we all had a blast without getting near the very coooold water! Spring is here but the wintery blasts haven’t finished yet for sure. Phew cos I’ve just finished the merinos!!
