I have been sewing a bit but haven’t posted about it – winter ailments and playing in the snow take up so much time don’t you know. And speaking of snow, this year winter is my favourite season because we had the white stuff at our house for the first time ever – oh my how wonderful that was. I think I was more excited than the kids. Hah.
Pattern Description: close-fitting round neckline pull-over tops with neckband or narrow binding depending on which view you choose. I cut a size small view C with the scooped neckline, narrow binding and long sleeves.
Did it look like the envelope photo/drawing when finished? Yep.
What did you particularly like/dislike about the pattern? It seems to be well drafted to me in that the sleeve caps sewed in easily without jimmying and the fit is good generally. Its a very easy one to stitch and I did mine on the serger using the coverstitch for hems and binding. I used Kay’s tute for the neckline binding and its a goodie (see link to the right).
Alterations or design changes made: I am long in the torso and arm so added length to the front, back and sleeves.
Conclusion: This is such a good basic T pattern and I keep coming back to it. In fact I have one more on the way.
